Gleason Works Bevel Gear Generator (c. 1900)

The Gleason Company, (a late 19th century business in the Rochester area), produced machinery under the jurisdiction of William Gleason and family. Gleason worked out of the Brown’s Race area in the High Falls District, and served as one of Rochester’s early (and highly successful) technological industries. As a material culture fanatic I couldn’t help but take a quick picture.
